Crossing Paths Carer Support Gold Coast is provided by Wesley Mission. Providing personalised support for carers of loved ones who are suicidal and has recently had contact with a crisis service. It can be very distressing when your loved one has been going through suicidal thoughts or attempts this service provides practical and emotional support during a very challenging time. Support provided include carer peer support and peer-led connection group, education on safety planning, coping strategies and self-care, advocacy, service navigation and referral to other support services if needed such as financial advice, housing, legal help, respite, relationships and wellbeing support. A Family Relationship Centre can assist you by providing information on family relationships at all stages of their development – from forming new relationships to overcoming relationship difficulties to dealing with separation. Staff will talk with you if you are going through a separation to help you focus on your children's needs and decide what to do next. Family Relationship Centres are experts at facilitating joint Family Dispute Resolution mediation sessions with the other parent or family members in order to help you reach an agreement on parenting arrangements.
