Stymie is a secure online messaging service. Anyone in your community who may have witnessed or experienced harm or trauma can report it anonymously. When the notification is sent, designated recipients within your organization receive it and respond in accordance with your wellbeing framework.
Supporting evidence, such as screenshots of harmful, threatening, or harassing social media messages or content, can also be uploaded. Stymie is used to report suicidal ideation, self-harm, sexual assault, bullying, family violence, and illegal activity.
Stymie helps schools overcome the bystander effect by allowing students to safely and anonymously report incidents of harm. Notifications are sent to schools via email, and they are handled according to their existing wellbeing framework.
