Alcohol and Other Drug Services 

Gold Coast Health’s Alcohol and Other Drugs  Service (AODS) is now providing specialist alcohol outpatient detox in the community. This is an flexible and affordable alternative to inpatient detox. Community detox will not be safe for everyone and you would need to discuss your situation with the AODS staff for more information.  It can be accessed at both the Southport and Palm Beach clinics. 
Outpatient detox through AODS includes: early intervention and support 
comprehensive assessment as part of the  detox plan 
outpatient detox via daily local clinic 
appointments (Monday–Friday) 
follow up treatment post detox 
GP support

AODS Detox is suitable for
* people who drink less than 20 standard drinks a day regularly * have no history of alcohol related seizures * reside with a responsible adult * have minimal other health or wellbeing complications
